About me
I qualified in 2009 as a Breastfeeding Counsellor. I have worked with a variety of organisations in Kent, in the private sector and the NHS. I have had the privilege of supporting families with feeding throughout their entire journey. Whether they are thinking about colostrum harvesting antenatally or considering stopping feeding a toddler. I understand how that initial support you get in those early days can literally dictate your feeding experience. You can feel fragile and vulnerable straight after birth and having a compassionate, empathic practitioner along-side you, is invaluable. Breastfeeding shouldn’t hurt and I believe women often put up with unnecessary pain because of this misconception.
I live in Sevenoaks with my two daughters, Sassy who wants to work in fashion photography and Tilly who wants to be a dancer.
When I’m not working or driving Tilly to various dance competitions, I enjoy running with a local group of women who I adore. I have run many half marathons, slightly less full marathons and 2 ultra marathons. I played Kent League squash for many years and am now attempting Padel.
Through my work in hospitals, I have supported families with very premature babies and mums who have had very medicalised pregnancies and births.
I offer support with a variety of areas including:
